Hollie graduated from Grays School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen in 2021 with an Honours Degree in Painting .
Her current practice is an ongoing investigation into the way we interact with nature , the idea of sacred landscapes and the restorative power of nature .
Her work is mostly rooted in her training as a fine artist (drawing and painting) but also encompasses her practice as a walking artist and keen psychogeographer . You will often find her out trekking the coastline , amongst the trees or sketching by a river
Her current practice is strongly influenced by artists such as Peter Doig, Franz Gertch and Lucas Arruda. She aims to create evocative landscapes that make the viewer not only question the importance of nature but also delve deeper into the hidden meanings of the scenes she creates.
Hollie’s main artistic focus is landscape painting and drawing but from time to time she will undertake commissions for portraiture .
Snapshots of the artist over the years at exhibitions , in the studio and out researching.
